MiWay :: New Mississauga Transit 2012 Maps

To help support the City of Mississauga's strategic goal of promoting a green culture, the City's Transit Division will rename and modify production and distribution of its semi-annual, printed transit paper map beginning January 1, 2012.

Customers can expect the following in 2012:

:: Printed paper map will be known as 'miGuide' (formerly miRoutes)
:: Printed paper map will be available for $2 each beginning Jan 30, 2012
:: Printed paper map will be available for purchase through the City's online
e-Store http://www.mississauga.ca/ and at the City Centre Transit Terminal
(200 Rathburn Road West, Mississauga) beginning January 30, 2012

Bulk purchases (excess of 50 maps) can be made by placing an order through the Transit Revenue section (905-615-3885) for pick up at the City Centre Transit Terminal. At the time of order, customers will be advised of their order total and, upon pick up, they may provide a cheque payable to 'City of Mississauga'.

Individual, poster-sized maps printed on card-stock paper (the same as those posted in bus shelters in Mississauga) are available for pick up in limited quantities, but at no cost to social service agencies and education, transportation and hospitality institutions. To arrange an order for pick up, please contact MiWay Customer Service at 905-615-INFO (4636) or e-mail miway.info@mississauga.ca

In addition to paper route maps, MiWay offers many electronic tools that make it easy to access transit route and schedule information in different ways. The options include the full website (www.miway.ca), the award-winning mobile website (http://m.miway.ca) and Citylink (905-615-4287). These environmentally-sustainable tools offer the most up-to-date information and are free to use

Why not recruit one student or a team of two to become MiWay Ambassador(s) at your Secondary school. They will have a chance to earn free transit for a year and an iPod touch and the winning school will receive 100 student tickets. Ambassadors will also receive the large maps and additional resources for students at your school.

The following schools have Ambassador applications on file

Cawthra Park, Erindale, Glenforest (5 entries), Rick Hansen, Lincoln M. Alexander, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Aloysius Gonzaga, St. Joseph, St. Joan of Arc and The Woodlands

We have extended the Ambassador application deadline until January 17, 2012 so you have more time to find interested students.
